In my first life I created a nature reserve at Seven Acres in Buckinghamshire. Just because I moved I didn’t lose interest in nature and creating habits, and I have found in Pateley that not only do I have my favourites from Buckinghamshire, but new species also including black headed gulls, Siskin, Tree Creeper and Nuthatch. The one thing I missed was the Red Kites, however about 2 months ago (April 2013) there was the occasional sighting. Then starting about 3 weeks ago, regular daily visits and now there are 2 Red Kites flying over several times a day.
