Tweedie is the camper van.

She is named after Ethel Brilliana Tweedie, an adventurer and travel writer at the turn of the century - so very appropriate.

Many people call their campers “Ethel”, “Brilliana” is just a silly name, hence the Tweedie. Her name is even more appropriate, as she started life in Scotland and I purchased her from a Scottish lady.

Tweedie is 20 years old and rattles a lot, but in terms of design is without doubt, the best designed camper I have ever used. Whoever designed the Talbot Avalon knew what was required by campers. She is also the perfect size as she is only a couple of inches longer than my Vauxhall estate (so easy to park), and comfortably sleeps me and two large dogs.
